Man dies after fight leads to shooting in Brookhaven

BROOKHAVEN, Mississippi (WJTV) – Brookhaven police are investigating after a 23-year-old man was shot following a fight.

The Daily Leader reported that the shooting occurred at around 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, in apartments in the 200 block of Pennington Street.

Brookhaven police said William Young was shot multiple times and died. Police Chief Kenny Collins said the suspect is a teenager.

The shooting remains under investigation.
