American tourist hospitalized after boating accident in Eleuthera – Eye Witness News

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police in Eleuthera are investigating a fatal traffic accident that left a 79-year-old woman dead.

According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday, June 22, 2024, around 10:00 a.m. in Spanish Wells.

According to preliminary reports, the woman was traveling west on Leo Road in a white Honda Civic when she allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.

According to authorities, the woman was taken to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Officials from the New Providence Department of Transportation will travel to Eleuthera to assist their colleagues in
Investigation.
