Red Dead Redemption 2 players are baffled by the secret John Marston cutscene we all missed

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a huge game, so it’s understandable that we missed some secrets, like the cutscene in today’s article about John Marston.

When Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, then the following year for PC, it immediately became another hit for GTA VI Developer, Rockstar Games. Simply put, Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most visually striking and engaging games you’ll ever play, and that impression is backed up by its smashing Metacritic score of 97.

Now, nearly six years after its initial release, fans on Reddit are still sharing secrets and there’s every chance you missed that cutscene of John Marston’s arrest at Blackwater. I’ll go straight into spoiler Area here for the endgame content of Red Dead Redemption 2So you were warned.

After completing the main game, you continue the story as John Marston, the star of the Red Dead Redemption game from 2010, a prequel to the 2018 release. For this reason, the prologue of Red Dead Redemption 2 is a section of the game you shouldn’t miss.

Just like in the main campaign, you can get up to all sorts of mischief as John Marston, and the gameplay clip shared on Reddit sees Marston being arrested and then rescued by his understandably angry wife Abigail, who punches a sheriff over the head to free her troublesome husband.

The gameplay clip in question was shared by Reddit user Bored_personBK. “I’ve always said Sadie and Abigail are the two coolest women in this game,” Humorous-Prince replied, with Hobiiii adding, “What a looker.”

“Sometimes I’ll give up on purpose to see if I get an interesting cutscene. I had one where Hosea bribed the guard with alcohol and another where John just pulled out some money and bribed the guard,” SIIP00 explained.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It is also backwards compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but unfortunately does not offer 60 frames per second support at the time of writing.
