We have declared a First Alert Weather Day for Monday with high fire danger from Denver across the Plains and for parts of the mountains and western slopes.

Temperatures will rise above 30 degrees in the urban corridor, with wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour.

It will also be very hot throughout the state! In the western slope areas, temperatures will be around 35 degrees, in the mountains 27 to 21 degrees. In the eastern plains, temperatures of 35 to 38 degrees are expected!

In addition, an air quality warning due to high ozone levels is in effect in the Front Range and northern I-25 corridor until 4 p.m.
