Woman attacked and stabbed in her Marietta apartment, police say – WSB-TV Channel 2

MARIETTA, Georgia – Marietta police are investigating after a woman was found stabbed to death in an apartment complex.

Police are currently at the Lakeside at Town Center complex on Williams Drive, where co-workers found the woman’s body after she failed to show up for work.

“She had visible cuts, was unresponsive and appeared to be dead,” police said.

The 42-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said she had been attacked in her apartment at night.

When her friends arrived, the door was closed but not locked, according to police.

The woman’s identity will be released once police have notified her family.

So far, the police have not been able to identify any suspects.

Anyone with information about a possible suspect is asked to call police immediately.
