Bar in St. Louis damaged in nighttime incident

ST. LOUIS — Early Thursday morning, the windows of The Whiskey Ring bar were smashed and St. Louis police are investigating the incident. The bar posted a notice on its Facebook page, asking patrons to “just use the front door.”

St. Louis police are searching for those responsible for vandalism at the South St. Louis bar. Employees cleared away broken glass and boarded up the shattered windows of The Whiskey Ring bar on the corner of Cherokee Street and Ohio Avenue this morning. It’s unclear why the business was targeted or if anything was stolen.

This is a developing story and FOX 2 will provide updates as new information becomes available.
