Man dies in pile-up on I-880 in Fremont – NBC Bay Area

According to the California Highway Patrol, a man was killed in Fremont on Wednesday evening when his vehicle was involved in an accident.

The collision occurred around 10:20 p.m. on the northbound lanes of Interstate 880 near the Fremont Boulevard South exit, CHP said.

A preliminary investigation found that six vehicles were involved in the crash and a 56-year-old Newark man was killed. No other serious injuries were reported, CHP said.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
