Two people raped over the weekend – National

Namibian police reported two cases of rape over the weekend.

This was noted in the police report by spokeswoman Kauna Shikwambi.

In the Otjozondjupa region, the rape of a 14-year-old girl by a 23-year-old suspect who was caught red-handed by an eyewitness was reported on Saturday.

The suspect is due to appear before the Okakarara Magistrates Court.

“The police investigation is ongoing,” Shikwambi said.

Also on Saturday, a woman (34) was raped by an unknown man in Opuwo when she returned home from work.
