Houston Traffic: Eastbound lanes of Westpark Tollway completely closed following wrong-way crash, HCTRA says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An early morning crash that closed all eastbound lanes of the Westpark Turnpike Saturday has been cleared.

The tracks resume shortly after 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Harris County Toll Road Authority posted on the X platform, formerly Twitter, that a wrong-way driver caused the accident.

The impact zone where drivers will experience delays is near Highway 6.

Drivers have been redirected to the FM 1464 exit. However, the eastbound lanes near Westheimer Place are closed.

Houston TranStar cameras show cars reversing while emergency vehicles and personnel were on scene.

Authorities did not say how many people were involved or whether there were any injuries.
