Pro-Hamas commentator who rolled his eyes at Hamas rapes fired from The Hill

Left-wing commentator Briahna Joy Gray was fired from The hillDays after she rejected allegations of sexual violence by Hamas against Israeli hostages.

The former co-host of The hill‘s morning YouTube program Increasing went viral after giving an interview on Tuesday in which she rolled her eyes at Yarden Gonen, the sister of a Gaza hostage, after Gonen urged her to believe Israeli women who had been raped.

Gray announced her resignation on X and said: The hill “shows a clear pattern of suppression of freedom of speech – especially when it is critical of the State of Israel.”

Gray, who served as press secretary for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) during the 2020 presidential campaign, has dismissed reports that Hamas committed mass rapes of Israeli women. “‘Believe all women’ has always been an absurd hyperbole: women should be heard, allegations should be investigated, but evidence is required. … But this is not a ‘believe women’ scenario either, since no female victims have come forward with statements,” she wrote in December.

During a debate on the war in Israel at the Dissident Dialogues summit last month, Gray denounced the audience as “racist” and “repulsive,” called the moderator “anti-black” and said she hoped “someone drops a bomb on this whole building.”

Democratic Congressman Ritchie Torres (NY) reacted to the news of her release from X by saying, “I feel as much compassion for Brianna Joy Gray as she does for the hostages. None.”
