Mountain View teacher arrested – NBC Bay Area

A middle school teacher in Mountain View was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of inappropriate sexual conduct toward a student, the city said.

In April, a 12-year-old student at Graham Middle School contacted school administrators about a teacher, the city said. The victim alleged that 59-year-old teacher Ralph Turner had touched her inappropriately. The school district placed him on leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.

Mountain View police questioned the alleged victim and other students, the city said. Based on the investigation, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Turner on suspicion of molestation and sexual assault of a child under 14 years of age, as well as false imprisonment.

Turner was tracked down and arrested at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, the city said.

Investigators fear there may be more alleged victims and are urging citizens to contact Investigator Guillermo de Lira at [email protected] “immediately” if they have any information, the city said.
