Body found in Rochester basement, police investigate

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester police are investigating after a body was found in a basement on Tuesday.

Officers were called to Ravine Avenue just before 6 p.m. Investigators said a body found in the basement of a home appeared to have been there for “some time.”

The identity of the person and the circumstances of his death could not be clarified. Police said it was a suspicious/non-criminal death.
