Man found dead near Tooele industrial site

Sea Point, Tooele County – A man was found dead on the property of a trucking company in Tooele County on Wednesday, according to the North Tooele Fire District.

The cause of death was still unclear on Wednesday evening, but the emergency call indicated that the man had suffered cardiac arrest.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene near TDC Trucking Company and attempted to resuscitate and perform life-saving measures on the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Due to the nature of the industrial area, emergency services treated the situation as a possible hazardous materials accident.

“There is no danger to the public, but please avoid the area if possible,” the district said.

A death investigation was underway Wednesday night. North Tooele Fire District said it is working with the Tooele Army Depot, Tooele County Emergency Services, the Unified Fire Department and Mountain West Ambulance.
