A small child was seriously injured in an incident in Stoughton, Massachusetts, on Wednesday morning.

Stoughton Police confirmed that an address on Lambert Avenue is the focus of the investigation, where a child believed to be under two years old was rescued. What led to the rescue is not yet known.

A rescue helicopter landed near the house and the child was taken there on a stretcher. A family member accompanied the child in the helicopter.
