Chetek police officer helps rescue ducklings

CHETEK, Wis. (WEAU) – Ducklings are reunited with their mother duck after a Chetek police officer helped rescue them.

According to the Chetek Police Department, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, a Chetek officer responded to the area of ​​West Center Street in Chetek for a report of several ducklings that had fallen into the sewer.

The police officer received additional assistance.

Chetek Police said 10 ducklings were rescued from the sewer and reunited with the mother duck further down the road at Bailey Lake after rescue crews chased the ducklings through the zigzagging pipes under West Center Street.
