Zonal DCP clarifies Raveena Tandon’s car did not hit anyone; actress claims she was attacked by mob

There is a new development in actress Raveena Tandon’s alleged assault case. A senior police officer clarified that the actress’ car did not touch the women involved. Instead, a verbal altercation ensued when Raveena got out of the car to confront them. Zone 9 DCP Raj Tilak Roshan stated, “Raveena was returning home. Her car was reversing. The woman, who was passing by, got angry with her driver and asked him to drive carefully. The car did not touch the woman, but a verbal altercation ensued.” He further mentioned that Raveena got out of the car and got involved in an argument.

“We have no written complaints from either party, so there is no case. Nobody was hurt,” he added. Raveena, on her part, claimed that she was attacked by the mob. A source close to the actress informed that after Raveena’s car drove into the building, the group asked the driver to come out to talk to them. Raveena tried to intervene as the situation escalated and sustained injuries in the process. Earlier, a video of the actress’s altercation with the group of locals had gone viral on the internet. The video showed the locals accusing Raveena and her driver of attacking three women, including an elderly lady. According to media reports, the incident took place in Mumbai’s Carter Road, near Rizvi College. In the video, the actress can also be seen being attacked by the women.
