Wilmington police search for hit-and-run suspect after incident of aggression behind the wheel

WILMINGTON – Wilmington Police are asking the public for information regarding a hit-and-run crash that occurred June 1 and resulted from a suspected incident of road rage.

At approximately 5:41 p.m., officers responded to a report of a car crash on VT Route 100.

Initial investigations revealed that the accident involved a mid-1990s blue-green Mazda B-Series truck, which fled the scene before police could arrive.

What is striking about the suspect vehicle are stripes on the driver and passenger doors.

The license plate of the truck, registered in Vermont, is unknown.

Witnesses described the occupants of the fleeing vehicle as two white men in their mid-20s; the driver had a beard.
