Acquittal in sexual assault trial

RAPID CITY, SD (KELO) — A jury in Pennington County has acquitted an Arkansas man of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.

Prosecutors alleged that 28-year-old Davvon Goodman met the teenager in downtown Rapid City in January 2023 and invited her to his home.

During Goodman’s trial, prosecutors presented the results of a rape kit and photographs of bruises that the victim said came from the assault.

But on Friday the jury acquitted him.
