Police say Union County driver died after head-on collision

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is reporting a fatal crash on Jerusalem Road near Countryside Drive near Jonesville, South Carolina. Police said it happened just before 2 p.m. Wednesday. They reported that one person, the only occupant of the vehicle, was killed in the crash. According to police, the crash occurred when one vehicle was traveling north on Jerusalem Road and another was traveling south. They said the vehicles collided head-on. The driver of the northbound vehicle was injured and taken to a nearby hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
