Hannity moved entirely for nights at WSB in Atlanta. | History

Venerable conservative speaker Sean Hannity is losing his afternoon slot at Cox Media Group Atlanta news/talk WSB-AM (750), according to a report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The newspaper claims the change went into effect Tuesday of this week, with Hannity’s 3 p.m. ET live broadcast time handed over to Eric Von Haessler and his Von Haessler Doctrine. Von Haessler’s show will now air for four hours, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.

“It’s a new day. It’s a new era. It’s a new era,” Von Haessler said on air Tuesday when making the announcement. “Some people expected something else. Maybe that they are a little upset. Try us You might like it.

Hannity’s show will air on tape from 9 p.m. to midnight. WSB had previously split Hannity’s show: the first hour aired live at 3 p.m., with the last two hours airing from 10 p.m. to midnight.

Jaleigh Long, vice president and market manager of Cox Media Group’s Atlanta radio stations, told the Journal-Constitution that there would be no comment related to the change beyond what was said to the antenna.

Meanwhile, WSB is taking an hour off so Shelley Wynter’s evening show will now air from 7-9 p.m. instead of 7-10 p.m.

The move, the newspaper notes, means the station will have all Georgia-based radio hosts from early morning until late evening for the first time in more than 22 years.

Hannity has been on WSB radio since national radio syndication began in 2001.
