A manhunt is underway for a Walker County man wanted in connection with a “recent crime.”

On Monday, Carbon Hill police informed the public via social media that they were looking for Christopher Austin Lee Dodd, a 29-year-old Nauvoo man.

Hours after her initial post, police issued an update saying Dodd was not missing but was being sought in connection with a recent crime. Police consider Dodd to be armed and dangerous.

Police describe Dodd as a 6’1″ man with brown hair and brown eyes who weighs 200 pounds.

Officials have not yet released details about the crime Dodd is suspected of.
