Man hit by MARTA train after 'leaning' from Inman Park station platform

A man is in the hospital after jumping in front of a MARTA train, officials say.

Authorities say shortly before 11 p.m., a train struck a person who was leaning on the westbound platform at the Inman Park station.

The man was taken to the hospital and the rail system was shut down so MARTA police could investigate the incident.

MARTA officials say that due to the rail network being shut down, bus transportation is operating from King Memorial to East Lake.
