Severe weather warning: Storms possible in Oklahoma

Later in the day and overnight, Oklahoma and Kansas could see a major storm outbreak. A few long-lived supercells capable of producing violent tornadoes could occur. Huge softball-sized hail and damaging wind gusts are also expected.

The National Weather Service has issued a PDS (extremely dangerous situation) tornado warning for much of the state west of Highway 75 until 11 p.m. tonight. The warning applies to the Oklahoma City, Norman and Stillwater metropolitan areas.
