Ithaca man arrested and charged with attempted murder

ITHACA, NY (WSYR-TV) — Ithaca Police were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of West Buffalo Street to serve a warrant just before 8 p.m. on Monday, May 6.

At the scene, police found 26-year-old Devante Metz of Ithaca inside the home. He was taken into custody without incident.

Ithaca Police say Metz has been charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

He was taken to the Tompkins County Jail where he awaits arraignment.
