Man arrested for theft at Lake Poinsett store

LAKE POINSETT, SD (KELO) — An Oldham, South Dakota man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a store in Lake Poinsett.

According to the Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office, officers were called to the business Sunday afternoon in reference to a weekend break-in.

According to authorities, numerous items were taken and the building was damaged.

The 19-year-old was arrested for third-degree burglary, malicious damage to property and petty theft.
