DC officer shot in Northwest DC police station, sources say – NBC4 Washington

A DC police officer was shot and injured at a police station in northwest DC, law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation tell News4.

Someone walked into the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth Precinct station at 6001 Georgia Ave. just before noon on Monday. NW and opened fire, sources said.

The officer was seriously injured and taken to a hospital in a patrol car.

The police station is located in the Brightwood/Petworth area.
