Policeman attacked by friends of prisoner at Thrissur Medical College

A police officer on duty at the prison ward of Thrissur Medical College was attacked by the friends of an accused. Nidhish, a police officer posted at AR Camp, was attacked by three friends of the accused, who was undergoing medical treatment there.

The altercation took place around 11:15 pm on Saturday when the officer intervened to stop the trio from smuggling beedi (a locally made cheap cigarette) along with food to their friend.

The three were arrested by the medical college police.
