A traffic accident in Temple, Texas results in bodily injury, according to police

TEMPLE, Texas – According to the Temple Police Department, one person is in custody after a traffic accident resulted in serious bodily injury on May 11 in Temple.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Westfield Boulevard and W. Adams Avenue around 11:30 a.m

When officers arrived at the scene, a victim reportedly told them that she and her daughter went to a vehicle that had hit them to discuss the accident, and a woman got out of the vehicle and began hitting them both to attack.

When a passerby came to the victims’ aid, the woman reportedly ran back to her vehicle, striking the adult victim as she fled, police said.

Temple PD said both victims were taken for medical treatment and are in stable condition.

The suspect was located and taken into custody, Temple PD said.
