2 teenagers arrested after shooting in Akron

AKRON, Ohio (WJW) – Two teenagers were arrested in Akron after firing guns Sunday morning.


According to a press release from Akron police, officers responded to the 400 block of South Awkins Avenue, where they found shell casings around 3:15 a.m. and arrested a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old.

According to the press release, officers later found more than a dozen teenagers in a nearby apartment.

During the search of the apartment, officers found two loaded handguns.

No injuries were reported.
