Man arrested after stolen vehicle found in another county

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said a man was arrested after a stolen vehicle was found in another county.

The investigation began March 30 after the sheriff’s office received a report of a stolen vehicle from a home in Southern Pines.

Fields said investigators found the car in another county in early May. The county where the vehicle was recovered was not specified.

Brandon Bowers, 40, of Raeford, was arrested May 8 and charged with felony burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, obtaining property by false pretenses and habitual criminal.

His bail was set at $10,000. His court date is May 10 and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
