The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man’s body was found in a parking lot on Hollister Street near West Little York

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A death investigation is underway after a body was found near a retention pond in northwest Harris County on Sunday.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said officers responded to an incident on Hollister Street around 6 a.m.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, about the investigation.

Gonzalez said when officers arrived, a man, possibly in his 20s, was found dead in a parking lot near West Little York.

Investigators said his body had been lying in the parking lot for several hours and showed significant injuries.

ABC13 was on scene and saw officers cordoning off the parking lot on the street below Eisenhower High School with crime scene tape.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the man’s cause of death and said his identity has yet to be confirmed by the Harris County Coroner’s Office.
