American football pundits called him overrated and one of the best quarterbacks in the world. It would take until he won a Super Bowl for him to be considered one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

The road to that Super Bowl victory begins at St. John Fisher University in Rochester, New York.

Training camp is nothing new for Allen, who entered the league in 2018. He was drafted 7th overall by the Bills in that April draft and arrived in town as a raw talent.

As Allen prepares to enter his 7th NFL season, let’s take a look at some photos from his arrival here.

2018 – Allen was selected 7th overall and came into camp as a backup. He ended up playing in 12 games that year, throwing for over 2,000 yards and 10 TDs.

2019 – Allen came into camp as the Buffalo Bills’ No. 1 QB and ended up playing in 16 games, throwing for over 4,000 yards and 20 TDs.

2020 – The year of COVID-19 was a year where Allen took a huge leap in his professional growth. Most of us saw that leap on television since most stadiums weren’t allowing fans to attend games. Allen played in 16 games, threw for over 4,500 yards and had 37 TDs.

2021– With NFL games and practices returning to normal after the COVID-19 pandemic, Allen continued to showcase his QB skills. He played in 17 games, throwing for over 4,400 yards and scoring 36 TDs.

2022 – Allen once again showed incredible QB talent with the Bills. In 16 games, he threw for over 4,200 yards and 35 touchdowns.

2023 – Allen had to lead the Buffalo Bills on a late-season winning streak to win the AFC East crown for the 4th consecutive year. In 2023, Allen played in 17 games for over 4,300 yards and 29 touchdowns.

2024 – Is this the year Allen takes Buffalo to the Super Bowl? There are a lot of questions about the Bills roster. From receivers to safeties, there have been a lot of changes on the Bills. Can Allen stay the course to win a fifth straight AFC East crown and bring the Lombardi Trophy to Western New York? We’ll find out soon enough.
