Classes suspended in Cavite; work at City Hall halted

LUCENA CITY – Classes in the province of Cavite were suspended on Monday, July 22, due to inclement weather brought by Typhoon Carina (international name: Gaemi).

Governor Jonvic Remulla announced on Tuesday, July 23, the suspension of classes at all levels in the province, extending the same declaration made on Monday, the Cavite Provincial Information Office announced on its Facebook page.

Cavite City Mayor Denver Chua also announced that work at City Hall was suspended on Tuesday “due to strong winds and heavy rain.”

“Employees providing essential services and working in the field will continue to report to work,” Chua said in a social media post on Tuesday.
