Three Arrested After Ellendale Shooting, Investigators Ask for Help Finding Fourth Suspect – Delaware State Police

Delaware State Police investigators have arrested a 20-year-old man Isaiah Yunas of Ellendale, Delaware, and two teenagers on multiple charges following a shooting in Ellendale early yesterday morning.

On May 8, 2024, at approximately 12:31 a.m., officers responded to a home on South Old State Road in Ellendale for a disorderly incident. When they responded, officers were told shots had been fired at the same location. When officers arrived, they discovered that a 20-year-old woman had been shot in the leg. During the investigation, they learned that a gray SUV stopped on the street, the occupants argued with people in the backyard of the home and shots were fired at them, striking the woman and the home. There were several people in the house, including a child. A short time later, police located the SUV and the suspects. The suspects, identified as Isaiah Yunas, and two 17-year-olds were arrested. The victim was treated and released from a local hospital for his injuries.

Isaiah Yunas was arrested and transported to Troop 7 where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace 2 and remanded to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $46,000 bail.

A 17-year-old was taken to Troop 7, charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned in Family Court and remanded to Stevenson House Detention Center on $50,500 bail.

  • Possession of a firearm while committing a crime (Felony)
  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition by a prohibited person (felony)
  • Reckless endangerment 1st Degree (Crime) – 6 points
  • Conspiracy 2nd conclusion (crime)
  • Criminal mischief under $1,000

A 17-year-old was taken to Troop 7, charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned in Family Court and released into the care of a parent.

  • Criminal mischief under $1,000
