According to South Korea, more North Korean soldiers have died from mine explosions in the DMZ

“Several” North Korean soldiers have been killed in around a dozen landmine explosions along the inter-Korean border in recent weeks, the South Korean military said on Wednesday, as the North Korean government continues construction work in the region despite the start of the summer monsoon season.

The military also said it had found North Korean mines in the South in recent days and warned that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was laying the landmines “sloppily” so that they could easily be washed away during heavy rains.
