Police: Gloversville man broke in and attacked Perth residents

A Gloversville man is accused of breaking into a home and assaulting a person.

Jesse E. O’Neal, 44, is accused of breaking into a home shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning. He smashed a window and struck the victim multiple times with objects, state police said.

Police found O’Neal in the driveway and arrested him.

O’Neal knew the victim, police said. The victim was treated at the hospital for serious injuries but is expected to survive.

O’Neal was charged with burglary and illegal possession of a firearm. He was remanded to the Fulton County Jail pending arraignment.
