Sebring man goes to jail for child pornography investigation

A 63-year-old Sebring man is in the Mahoning County Jail on suspicion of downloading child pornography.

Sebring police arrested Douglas Brock at his Texas Avenue home on Saturday. He faces 10 charges, including disseminating obscene statements by a minor and distributing sexually oriented material by a minor.

The arrest follows an investigation that began in May after police received a tip from the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that Brock had downloaded child pornography images.

According to the police report, one of the images apparently showed a 12- to 14-year-old girl performing a sexual act on a man.

Police searched Brock’s home and confiscated a computer.

After further investigations and a conversation with the public prosecutor, charges were filed and an arrest warrant was issued last week.

Brock is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning in Sebring District Court.
