Puttur: Sexual harassment of a girl in KSRTC bus – fellow passenger charged with assault

Puttur, July 14: A man who allegedly sexually assaulted a girl in a KSRTC bus was confronted and attacked by fellow passengers near Shiradi Ghat on Saturday.

The accused, who belongs to a different community, was recorded on video being reprimanded by other passengers.

A friend of the accused informed outsiders about the incident, whereupon some members of an organization boarded the bus and clashed with the person who had filmed the incident.

Uppinangady police arrived at the scene and escorted the person who recorded the video safely home.
