Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Holds School Supply Drive

ATLANTA — Ahead of the fall school year, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is hosting a school supply drive for students in the Atlanta metro area.

For the fourth year in a row, doctors working in the emergency department at Hughes Spalding Children’s Healthcare Atlanta are hosting the event to benefit three elementary schools: Finch Elementary School, Kimberly Elementary School and Harper Archer Elementary School.

The children’s association said the aim was to “help make a bigger difference in our community.”

She added that each of the schools was selected based on the level of need.

The Children’s charity is accepting donations through Monday, July 15. People can purchase items directly from Amazon’s Wish List.

“Last year’s effort provided a variety of school supplies to more than 1,000 students in need, and physicians are hopeful that this year’s initiative will be another resounding success,” Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta said.

He said the supplies will be delivered to students later this month.
