Woman found dead with head injury in Bronx: NYPD

THE BRONX, NY (PIX11) – A woman was found unresponsive inside a NYCHA building Monday morning, according to the NYPD.

Police responded to a 911 call and arrived at 2625 3rd Avenue around 1 a.m


Serena Barrios, 30, was found unconscious and unresponsive with an injury to the back of her head, police said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
