Miami man lured teens with weed and alcohol before sexually abusing them, police say

MIAMI – A Miami man was arrested Sunday after police say he picked up two young girls on a scooter to smoke and drink before sexually assaulting them.

According to Miami police, the first victim is 16 and the other is 17 years old.

Investigators said the first victim told police in an audio recording that she met 23-year-old Sunen Isaac Gutierrez early Sunday morning while walking near the 2200 block of Southwest Fourth Street in Little Havana.

Gutierrez asked both victims if they wanted to come to his apartment to smoke marijuana and consume alcoholic beverages, and they agreed, according to the report.

The first victim told police that the second victim “arranged to engage in sexual activity” with Gutierrez for “approximately $400 but then negotiated the price down to $320,” the report said.

“During the sexual contact, the defendant (Gutierrez) became rough and the first victim no longer wanted to engage in sexual activity with him,” police wrote.

The first victim also told police that Gutierrez tried to have sex with the second victim when both ran out of the house for safety, investigators said.

While trying to escape Gutierrez, the first victim fell to the ground and was “digitally penetrated” by him, police said.

The report states that Gutierrez also “violently” snatched the first victim’s purse and cell phone before eventually running away.

The first victim was taken to Gutierrez’s house by detectives and was able to confirm his identity through his landlord, according to police.

The second victim said in a statement to investigators that she asked Gutierrez to stop his sexual advances, but he “continued to attempt to penetrate her,” the report said.

According to police, Gutierrez once grabbed the second victim’s head and forced her to perform oral sex on him.

While in custody, police said Gutierrez signed a consent form to search his home. During the search, they found the first victim’s cell phone and a card belonging to the second victim.

Authorities said Gutierrez read him his Miranda rights in Spanish and agreed to speak to investigators without his attorney present. He said he met both victims after a night of drinking and drove them to his home on his scooter.

He denied “exchanging money for sexual advances” but made a confession that was redacted in the publicly available report.

Jail records show Gutierrez faces two counts each of human trafficking of victims between the ages of 12 and 17, sexual assault and a separate charge of robbery.

He has been held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center since Monday, where his bail has not yet been decided.
