Man killed in shooting in Stockton, police said

A man is dead after a shooting in Stockton Friday afternoon, police said. Emergency crews responded to Fairburn Way near Northstar Drive around 5:30 p.m. for a report of a person shot. Officers said when they arrived, officers found a 31-year-old man who had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said. Officials have not released any information on the suspect and said no motive is known. A man died in a shooting in Stockton on Friday afternoon, police said.

Emergency crews responded to a report of a person shot around 5:30 p.m. and headed to Fairburn Way near Northstar Drive.

Officials said when they arrived, they found a 31-year-old man who had been shot.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Authorities have not released any information about the suspect and said no motive is known.
