Stockton police investigate fatal shooting

STOCKTON, Calif. – Stockton police are investigating a shooting that turned fatal Friday night.

Stockton police said officers responded to the 3800 block of Fairburn Way around 5:30 p.m. for a report of someone being shot. When they arrived at the scene, officers found a 31-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, but no information about the motive or the suspect has been released.
