Miyapur police arrest two people for sexually harassing a colleague

Miyapur police on Wednesday arrested two men for allegedly sexually harassing their colleague and promising to take her to a construction site in Yadagirigutta. The arrest was made following a complaint filed by the 25-year-old victim.

In her complaint, she alleged that the two men sexually assaulted her on their way back to the city and left her at a hotel in Miyapur.

The duo picked up the woman from her hostel to check a construction site in Yadagirigutta. On their way back at around 9 pm, the two stopped the car next to an under-construction building and claimed that the car had broken down. They then offered her soft drinks and food, after which she became dizzy. The two then allegedly sexually assaulted her in the early hours of July 1, left her at a hotel in Miyapur and fled, police said. The Uppal police filed a non-FIR and handed over the case to the Miyapur police.
