2 dead, 21 injured in knife attack on hospital in southwest China: local police

Two people were killed and 21 injured in a knife attack at a hospital in southwest China on Tuesday, according to local police.

“At about 11:37 a.m. (03:37 GMT) on May 7, 2024, a knife attack occurred at Chengnan Hospital in Zhenxiong County, resulting in two deaths and 21 injuries,” local police in Yunnan Province said in a statement statement on WeChat, adding that a male suspect was being investigated.
