Several sources told the Irish Mirror that he had posted on social media that were “far-right” and “anti-immigration” in nature.

According to sources, the usher was escorted out of the building on Monday evening and suspended with full pay.

An Oireachtas spokesman told the Irish Mirror: “The House of the Oireachtas Service does not comment on personnel matters.”

Some social media posts seen by the Irish Mirror refer to people as “traitors.”

These included politicians and Gardaí. The bailiff also used the terms “foreign invaders” and “plantation”.

They have also republished several posts about “traitors” who voted for the EU asylum and migration pact.
