Man charged with aggressive driving in South Greensburg

A man has been charged in connection with a road rage incident in South Greensburg. Michael Gravely faces several charges, including ethnic intimidation, endangering the welfare of a child, terroristic threats, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. South Greensburg police said Gravely threatened to kill another motorist and smashed the driver’s window while leaving his month-old daughter in the car. According to court documents, on June 20, the victim, Delorian Day, was driving his truck north on Route 119 and passed Gravely’s maroon Chevrolet Equinox. Gravely began to tailgate Day, so Day pulled back over. Both men stopped at a red light at the intersection of Route 119 and Huff Avenue. Then Day told police Gravely got out of the car and began using racial slurs, threatened to kill him and told him to go back to his country. According to court documents, Gravely smashed and pulled on Day’s window, breaking it. A social media post asked for help in locating the person involved in the situation. A day later, Gravely was identified as the suspect. According to the criminal complaint, Gravely admitted to going too far. Gravely told police that as Day drove past him, his trailer hit his car, causing him to swerve and nearly cause an accident. Gravely said he was upset because his daughter was in the car. When police asked Gravely if he used racial slurs, he said, “Not that I know of,” and denied the accusation. He also denied threatening to kill Day. However, Gravely admitted to damaging Day’s car. According to court documents, Gravely left his baby unattended in the running car on the highway when the altercation occurred. According to a repair estimate provided by Day, about $2,600 was done to his car. Police said no damage was found to Gravely’s car. Gravely is free on $7,500 unsecured bail and is due back in court in July.

According to South Greensburg police, Gravely threatened to kill another driver and smashed the driver’s window, leaving his one-month-old daughter in the car.

According to court documents, on June 20, victim Delorian Day said he was driving his truck north on Route 119 and passed Gravely’s maroon Chevrolet Equinox. Gravely tried to tailgate Day, so Day pulled back over. Both men stopped at a red light at the intersection of Route 119 and Huff Avenue.

Then, Day told police, Gravely got out of the car, started shouting racist abuse at him, threatened to kill him and told him to return to his country.

According to court documents, Gravely punched Day’s window and pulled on it, causing it to shatter.

A social media post asked for help in locating the person involved in the incident. A day later, Gravely was identified as a suspect.

According to the criminal complaint, Gravely admitted to going too far.

Gravely told police that as Day drove past him, his trailer struck his car, causing him to swerve and nearly collide. Gravely said he was upset because his daughter was in the car.

When police asked Gravely if he had used racial slurs, he said, “Not that I know of,” and denied the accusation. He also denied making death threats to Day.

Gravely admitted to damaging Day’s car.

According to court documents, Gravely left his baby unattended in his running car on the highway at the time of the altercation.

According to an estimate provided by Day, repairs to his car cost about $2,600. Police said no damage was found to Gravely’s car.

Gravely is free on $7,500 unsecured bail and is due back in court in July.
