14-year-old boy dies in shooting in Seattle’s Beacon Hill

The 14-year-old boy was taken to Harborview Medical Center on Thursday evening, where he succumbed to his injuries.

SEATTLE – A 14-year-old boy was killed in a shooting in Seattle’s southern Beacon Hill neighborhood Thursday night.

The Seattle Fire Department said its crews responded to reports of a shooting in the 7400 block of Rockery Drive South shortly after 8 p.m. The boy was found on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound.

According to Brian Pritchard of the Seattle Police Department, paramedics took the teenager to Harborview Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A vehicle sped away from the scene of the accident and the Guardian One helicopter pursued the vehicle to Everett.

Police said they arrested three people in connection with the shooting.

This is the sixth shooting in Seattle in the last week.

According to Seattle police, a 26-year-old man was shot in the stomach on Wednesday in an apartment in the High Point neighborhood in western Seattle.

On Tuesday evening, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg while driving in south Seattle.

The night before, on Monday, a man was killed in a shooting in the U-District. In a separate incident on Monday, two people were injured in a shooting at the Stan Sayres boat launch.

On Saturday, a 22-year-old man was shot and killed near Alki Beach in West Seattle.
