Motorcyclist dead after accident in Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio – A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision on U.S. 22 in Fairfield County Monday.

A 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling west on US 22 while a motorcycle driven by Jared Ross was traveling in the eastbound lanes.

According to OSHP, the driver of the Mitsubishi crossed the center line and struck the motorcycle head-on. Ross was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.

OSHP did not disclose whether the driver of the Mitsubishi was injured.

The crash is currently being investigated.
