21-year-old from Owosso charged in federal court after gun incident | Crime

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 21-year-old Mack Adam Davis was in possession of a .22-caliber short-barreled rifle after police responded to reports of gunfire on Lyon Street in Owosso.



OWOSSO, Michigan (WJRT) – An Owosso man is facing charges in federal court following a shooting earlier this week.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office has said that 21-year-old Mack Adam Davis is charged with possession of a short-barreled rifle, a violation of federal law, after he allegedly fired the weapon from his home on Monday.

Owosso police responded to reports of shots fired in the 800 block of Lyon Street. Investigators believe the shots came from Davis’ bedroom.


One person arrested in Owosso after shooting

Authorities obtained a search warrant for his home and found the .22-caliber handgun and other firearms. Owosso police arrested Davis this week and booked him into the Shiawassee County Jail.

Davis appeared before a federal judge in U.S. District Court in Flint. The judge ordered him to remain in jail while the case goes through a preliminary review on July 8.
